App RedesignOfflyn Life
Offlyn is a local experiences app from Bengaluru. I redesigned it to make discovery actually feel good.
Overview
Offlyn is a Bengaluru-based platform for discovering and hosting local experiences think pottery classes, hiking trips, comedy nights, rooftop dinners. The app had real content and a genuinely interesting proposition, but the experience of actually using it got in the way. I took on a full redesign to fix the structure, sharpen the visual hierarchy, and make discovery feel less like searching and more like stumbling onto something good.
Context
The core problem was that everything looked equally important, so nothing stood out. The home feed was cluttered, the navigation had too many competing paths, and the host flow felt like filling out a government form. I started with a proper audit mapping out all the screens, identifying where users would drop off, and understanding what the app actually wanted people to do. From there I rebuilt the information architecture, introduced a personalised feed with clearer categories, redesigned the experience cards to lead with the feeling rather than the logistics, and simplified the host flow into something that felt more like sharing an idea than submitting a listing. The visual direction shifted towards something more alive, bolder imagery, stronger contrast, a UI that got out of the way of the content.
